Job description
TGRC is working with a leading, independent clean energy company in their search for a Staff Engineer (Mid/Senior Level) to perform technical/engineering duties for the development, construction, and operations of renewable energy generation projects. The primary focus is on utility scale Solar, Energy Storage, and Wind energy projects.

Houston, TX (Preferred) or Indianapolis, IN or Remote
Responsibilities:
Experienced with or willing to learn all phases of the Engineering Project Lifecyle (F.E.E.D, Project/Construction Engineering, and Operations).
Willing perform Project Engineering duties for projects in the construction phase.
Assist with transmission modeling using various software packages (PROMOD, PSS/E, PowerWorld, etc.).
Assist with development and maintaining interconnection strategies for a developing pipeline of utility scale renewable energy projects.
Capable of working with consultants and contractors for technical/engineering services (Owners Engineer, Independent Engineer, Conceptual Designs, etc.) when necessary.
Advise on conceptual and detailed project designs for renewable energy projects This includes Electrical (substation & AC/DC collection systems), SCADA and Controls systems, Civil and Structural Engineering aspects.
Willing to grow subject matter expertise in engineering design for utilities scale renewable energy generation projects.
Work very closely all members of the Engineering, Transmission, and development teams.
Must be highly productive when working remotely and be able to work well with colleagues in various locations.
Requirements:
Working knowledge of running transmission modeling software tools (PROMOD, PSS/E, PowerWorld, Dyzer, etc.).
Working knowledge of various drafting tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PV Case, etc.)
Knowledge and experience in Generation Interconnection Processes with ISO’s and utilities with regards to energy generation assets in the United States.
Knowledge and experience in Electrical, Civil, and Control systems for renewable energy projects.
Ability to travel up to 25% of time
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in power generation and/or the renewable energy sector.
