Director of Renewable Energy

​I am currently partnering with a leading turn-key EPC company with an exceptional track record across Europe and the Middle East, now embarking on an exciting expansion into the German energy market. As part of this growth, the company is seeking to appoint a Director of Renewable Energy to lead and develop its renewables business unit.

The Role:

As Director of Renewable Energy, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling the company’s renewable energy operations in Germany. You’ll be responsible for defining the strategy, building the local team, and overseeing the successful delivery of large-scale EPC projects in solar, wind, and hybrid systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the Renewable Energy Business Unit in Germany.

  • Lead project development and execution across solar PV, wind, and hybrid renewable projects.

  • Build, mentor, and manage a growing multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and commercial staff.

  • Foster key partnerships with clients, suppliers, and local stakeholders.

  • Ensure operational excellence, compliance, and profitability across all renewable projects.

  • Work closely with group leadership to align local objectives with international growth strategy.

About You:
  • Proven leadership experience in renewable energy (EPC, IPP, or developer background preferred).

  • Strong understanding of German energy markets, permitting, and grid connection processes.

  • Track record of delivering complex renewable projects on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build and shape a new business unit.

  • Must be C2 German and C1 English minimum
