Renewable Energy Analyst-Distributed Energy

Job description

​We are working with an international renewable energy investment and asset platform that is expanding its distributed energy portfolio across Asia-Pacific. With a growing footprint in C&I solar, storage, and integrated energy systems, the team is strengthening its investment and strategy capability to support ongoing project deployment and international expansion.

This role sits close to the investment decision-making process and will support the evaluation, prioritisation, and execution of distributed energy opportunities across multiple markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis of renewable energy sectors, with focus on distributed solar and integrated energy solutions

  • Support evaluation of investment opportunities through commercial, operational, and financial assessment

  • Prepare internal analysis, investment materials, and strategic briefs to support decision-making

  • Track renewable energy market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging investment trends across key regions

  • Contribute to pipeline assessment by reviewing asset characteristics, return drivers, and key risk factors

  • Work closely with investment, technical, and commercial teams to support asset-level and portfolio-level analysis

Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in energy, engineering, finance, economics, or related discipline

  • 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy, energy sector analysis, or investment-related roles

  • Strong understanding of renewable energy value chains, asset economics, and commercial drivers

  • Ability to translate industry developments into clear commercial or investment implications

  • Analytical and structured thinker, comfortable working with data and forming independent viewpoints

  • Fluent in English and Chinese
