Renewable Energy Analyst-Distributed Energy
Job description
We are working with an international renewable energy investment and asset platform that is expanding its distributed energy portfolio across Asia-Pacific. With a growing footprint in C&I solar, storage, and integrated energy systems, the team is strengthening its investment and strategy capability to support ongoing project deployment and international expansion.
This role sits close to the investment decision-making process and will support the evaluation, prioritisation, and execution of distributed energy opportunities across multiple markets.
Responsibilities:
Conduct analysis of renewable energy sectors, with focus on distributed solar and integrated energy solutions
Support evaluation of investment opportunities through commercial, operational, and financial assessment
Prepare internal analysis, investment materials, and strategic briefs to support decision-making
Track renewable energy market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging investment trends across key regions
Contribute to pipeline assessment by reviewing asset characteristics, return drivers, and key risk factors
Work closely with investment, technical, and commercial teams to support asset-level and portfolio-level analysis
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree or above in energy, engineering, finance, economics, or related discipline
3–5 years of experience in renewable energy, energy sector analysis, or investment-related roles
Strong understanding of renewable energy value chains, asset economics, and commercial drivers
Ability to translate industry developments into clear commercial or investment implications
Analytical and structured thinker, comfortable working with data and forming independent viewpoints
Fluent in English and Chinese
