Engineering Manager (design and delivery)

The Client

TGRC is excited to be partnering with our client, a leader in the transformation of PV projects, in the recruitment of an Engineering Manager to join their team in Sydney.

Our client have pioneered leading technology to simplify the development, construction, and operation of solar plants.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with a strong leadership and solar engineering background who is able to successfully lead an already established team of top-performance engineers and subject matter experts.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the Technical Sales & Delivery Engineering team and engineers

• Partner with the Sales Team to create, manage and maintain customer relationships and sales pipeline.

• Partner with the Delivery Team to successfully design and execute competitively and safely projects with the company's technology worldwide.

• Assess the technical feasibility of opportunities.

• Influence the worldwide solar industry (IPPs, Developers, EPCs, Solar Software, Installers) about the benefits and value proposition of using the company's technology in solar systems.

Required skills:

• Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.

• Ideally EPC or vendor contracts in large-scale utility solar Ideally more than 5 years experience in large-scale utility solar and more than 10 years in the solar business.

• Strong background in solar farm design and engineering with dedicated experience in operation and maintenance.

• Advanced understanding of PV technology, energy yield modelling, standards, calculations, testing and quality assurance.

• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring in the solar industry Negotiation skills.
