Process and Technical Safety Leader

​Do you want to take a leading role within a key Process and Safety segment and be part of our client’s team, delivering world-class services within advisory, verification, and technology development projects to the energy sector? The Process and Safety team is seeking to strengthen their management team with a leader located in Hamburg, Germany.

As a Leader in Process & Safety, you will manage a team of 20–30 employees with the primary objective of fostering team growth and aligning with the company's Energy Systems strategy. You will work closely on commercial opportunities to strengthen and expand the business. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will collaborate closely with peer Section Heads.

Your main responsibilities include:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and guide Team Leaders and Employees in the Section, with a focus on team expansion.

  • Foster a high-performance culture, setting clear expectations, and acting as a role model for the team.

  • Support the Head of Department in strategy and decision-making.

Service Delivery:

  • Ensure efficient and consistent delivery of services aligned with customer expectations.

  • Empower employees and encourage individual growth to enhance overall team capabilities.

  • Promote continuous improvement and a high-quality delivery culture.

Team Fostering:

  • Stimulate a high-performing culture by setting a clear direction and being output-driven.

  • Promote team capabilities both internally and externally.

  • Create a flexible workforce and automate workflows to manage variable workload.

  • Build and strengthen a strong internal culture based on company values.

Talent Development:

  • Take ownership of the development of technical talent and future-needed capabilities within the team.

  • Facilitate efficient cooperation among teams in the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark.

Business Development:

  • Develop competences and services within the team to facilitate growth in new segments.

  • Actively engage in dialogue with clients and serve as a project sponsor for initiatives within your team.

  • MSc or equivalent, as well as relevant experience within one or more of the team’s technical subject areas.

  • Experience in the energy sector, especially within oil & gas and/or renewables (hydrogen, storage, carbon capture) is advantageous, but not a requirement.
