Job description

Role Overview:

The Sustainability Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the company's ESG performance. This position requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of ESG frameworks, stakeholder engagement, and a passion for driving positive change in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

ESG Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive ESG strategy aligned with the company's values and business objectives. Identify key ESG risks and opportunities specific to the aviation sector.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, customers, employees, and communities, to understand their ESG expectations, gather insights, and communicate the company's ESG initiatives and performance.

ESG Reporting and Disclosure: Oversee the preparation and publication of ESG reports and disclosures, ensuring alignment with global reporting frameworks such as SASB, TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures), and other relevant standards. Communicate the company's progress and initiatives in a transparent and compelling manner.

Performance Metrics and Tracking: Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the company's ESG performance. Regularly monitor, analyze, and report on these metrics to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.

Risk Management: Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities, collaborating with relevant departments to integrate risk mitigation strategies into business operations.

ESG Integration: Work collaboratively with various business units to integrate ESG considerations into decision-making processes, supply chain management, product development, and corporate governance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Proven track record in ESG management, sustainability, or corporate responsibility, preferably within the aviation or related industry.

  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.

  • Project management skills and the ability to drive change across an organization.

  • Strategic thinker with a passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive impact.
