This firm have provided services to an impressive 5,000 clients, delivering over £600 million of savings. Company growth has now brought the need for a sustainability manager to join an ambitious in-house team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of the social value strategy (PASF), ensuring commitments and all related workstreams are delivered, across the four pillars.

• Support the implementation of new initiatives that support the company’s sustainability commitments, driving them forward with stakeholders across the business

• Drive engagement with the strategy with key stakeholders and senior management, establish the relevant governance structure which supports the delivery of the sustainability strategy.

• Help to ensure that the company’s sustainability efforts are well communicated internally and externally.

• Maintain internal reporting whilst also reporting to external standards & accreditations, ensuring that robust processes for data collection are upheld.

• Maintain relationships with key external bodies such as business contacts, peer networks, governing bodies, to ensure continued collaboration on industry wide initiatives.

• Deliver customer facing sustainability services and help to drive improvements to existing services.

• Deliver fee generating sustainability services; advisory, net zero, indexes and accreditations, annual reporting.

• Contribute to annual environmental objectives as well as providing KPI analysis for the company.

• Input towards the company’s annual Sustainability Report.

• Provide input and help to coordinate the company’s PASF steering Group and PASF working groups.

• Promote the business at customer / industry events related to CSR and sustainability.

• Contribute to the consultancy budget & and deliver relevant departmental / individual KPI’s

• Manage ISO 14001 & 50001

Your profile:

Essential

• Environmental / sustainability qualifications (Degree, Masters, industry qualifications etc.)

• Either qualifications in, or strong knowledge of environmental assessment models (BREEAM, LEED, Ska, etc.).

• ISO 14001 / 50001 Lead Auditor or experience

• Minimum of 5 years sustainability experience

• Detailed knowledge of the sustainability sector

• Carbon reporting & net zero delivery

• Demonstrable and thorough knowledge of ISO Standards and sustainability accreditations / indexes

• Proven track record as a manager in sustainability, having successfully delivered strategies

• Full driving license as occasional site visits will be required as will visits to other Group offices

• Experience and ability to inspire influence and motivating others to adopt sustainable practices

Desirable

• Consulting experience at senior level

• Programme management experience

• Experience of managing ISO 14001 & 50001 systems

• Experience creating compelling evidence-based sustainability orientated business cases
