Job Title: Sustainability Consulting Manager (Analysis & Compliance)
Location: UK Based
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000
This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's leading SME energy consultancies with over 50 years' experience of operating within the energy and utilities management market.
Role Purpose:
This role supports utility reduction, carbon dioxide net zero and other professional services offered by the Sustainability Team. The successful candidate will project manage the analysis, insight generation and reporting delivery of customers’ business data to support the delivery and growth of the department’s products and services, such as ESOS, SECR, TCFD, and optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
To manage a team of performance analysts; being responsible for people management, revenue targets, team performance, productivity, and quality to ensure excellent service delivery of customer projects and ongoing outputs
Through a team of analysts, be responsible for project managing the analysis, insight generation and reporting delivery of customers business data to support the delivery of the Sustainability products and services
Through the Compliance Team, ensure accurate and timely delivery of Compliance schemes, e.g. CCA, EII and Min Met; and maintain a quality service for energy data ensuring reporting deadlines are met and client submitted data is accurate for all products
To develop, modify and deliver standardised and automated improvements in the reporting systems to provide and project manage enhanced insight and to improve delivery efficiency of the company service offerings, including but not limited to ESOS, SECR, TCFD, R&R, Optimisation and CCL
Supporting definition of clear go to market strategies for new propositions to assist in business strategy
Track and report on the performance of the Energy Performance Analysts and Compliance Administrators in line with client and operational SLAs and KPIs
Provide recommendations for service delivery and improvement
Lead strategic projects with clients to build and implement ambitious sustainability strategies that enable clients to transition to net zero
Scaling consultancy services through effective resourcing and developing processes – quality, skills
Manage and coach the team, supporting colleagues with personal development
Your Profile:
Graduate in STEM related subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)
Operational service delivery and management experience
Experience of performance management, coaching and developing teams and individuals
Working knowledge of products and services related to Energy, Carbon such as ESOS, SECR, TCFD, CDP, CCA, EII, Min Met and optimisation
Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience of interpreting large amounts of complex data
Knowledge of energy optimisation, carbon and water related utilities
Forward thinking mindset with experience of continuous improvement in delivery
Commercially sensitive and able to seize clients’ opportunities
Ability to develop client relationships and experience of managing key stakeholders
Strong project management skills and experience of managing quality and excellence in service delivery to deadlines
Working knowledge of the application of Measurement and Verification techniques
Proven experience in statistical computing, using software such as QLIK, Tableau, R, Matlab, SPSS or similar
Proven track record of demonstrating impact of change through recognised analytical processes
Influencing skills to draw out priorities, consolidate thinking and get buy-in to the proposed route forward
Excellent presentation skills
