Job description

As the Procurement Manager specializing in Solar PV, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and sourcing processes related to solar photovoltaic systems. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, and sustainability while ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of solar PV projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the solar industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for advancing renewable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for solar PV projects, considering cost, quality, and sustainability objectives.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to inform procurement decisions.

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and contractors for solar PV components and services.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, negotiating contracts to secure favourable terms and conditions.

  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and market research to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

  • Implement cost-effective procurement solutions without compromising quality or sustainability standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and finance, to ensure seamless integration of solar PV procurement into overall project timelines and goals.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to procurement activities, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing potential disruptions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience in renewable energy project management with a focus on EPC activities.

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and construction practices.

  • Familiarity with French regulations and standards related to renewable energy projects.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
