Procurement Lead
Job description
TGRC are partnered with an international battery storage developer, backed by tier-one energy transition investors and advancing a multi-GW global pipeline, in hiring their first BESS Procurement Lead to build and lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting for its growing utility-scale storage portfolio.
This is a pivotal commercial and technical position, working at the intersection of supply chain strategy, supplier engagement, and project execution. The role partners closely with overseas execution and development teams, requiring regular travel across Asia to engage with top-tier OEMs and integrators.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the full procurement cycle for utility-scale BESS projects — RFPs, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation for batteries, inverters, EMS, and BoP components.
Manage framework agreements and major equipment POs, aligning commercial, technical, and legal inputs.
Build relationships with leading OEMs and integrators (CATL, BYD, LGES, Wärtsilä, Fluence, etc.).
Develop procurement systems, supplier frameworks, and process standards from the ground up.
Coordinate with engineering and execution teams to ensure performance, compliance, and on-time delivery.
Support commissioning and early-operation phases to validate supplier and system performance.
What We’re Looking For:
7+ years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial contracting for BESS, solar + storage, or major power systems.
Proven track record negotiating high-value equipment contracts and EPC agreements.
Strong technical understanding of BESS components and system integration.
Confident communicator who can work independently and build trust across global teams.
Based in Denver, with monthly international travel for supplier and project engagement.
Why This Role:
An opportunity to join a high-growth, well-capitalized storage platform at a defining stage in its global expansion. You’ll shape procurement strategy from day one, engage directly with tier-one suppliers, and influence how multi-GW storage projects are delivered across international markets.
