Senior Investment Associate
Job description
We are seeking a Senior Financial Modeller to join our growing renewable energy team in Madrid. You will play a key role in evaluating, structuring, and optimising renewable energy investments across solar, wind, and storage projects throughout Europe.

Key Responsibilities
Build, develop, and maintain project finance and corporate financial models for renewable energy assets (solar PV, wind, battery storage, etc.)
Conduct valuation analysis, scenario modelling, and sensitivity testing to support investment decisions and financing structures
Support M&A transactions, project bids, and financing negotiations with robust financial analysis and modelling
Prepare investment papers, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate closely with the project development, engineering, and finance teams to align technical and financial assumptions
Monitor project performance and update models with actuals and revised forecasts
About You
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
2–5 years’ experience in financial modelling within renewable energy, infrastructure, or investment banking
Strong proficiency in Excel-based financial modelling (experience with VBA, Python, or Power BI is a plus)
Solid understanding of project finance, debt/equity structures, and valuation methodologies
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is an advantage
Passionate about renewable energy and the global energy transition
