Job description

The Green Recruitment Company is proud to be partnered with a leading U.S. developer–owner–operator in the renewable energy sector. With a multi-GW pipeline of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, and active expansion into data center infrastructure and gas generation to diversify their portfolio, our client is seeking a Senior Manager, High Voltage Engineering to join their fast-growing Engineering & EPC organization.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role, supporting both early-stage development and late-stage execution across large-scale interconnection, substation, and transmission scopes.

As the Senior Manager, High Voltage Engineering, you will:

  • Lead technical strategy and execution for HV substations and interconnection facilities (138kV–500kV).

  • Support a large renewables pipeline (solar PV, BESS, hybrid) while contributing to new verticals including data center power delivery and thermal hybrid projects.

  • Manage and direct engineering consultants and EPC partners in developing design packages, technical drawings, and specifications.

  • Provide Owner’s Engineering oversight across design reviews, due diligence, and QA/QC.

  • Develop conceptual HV designs, guide equipment procurement strategy, and influence project development decisions.

  • Resolve field-level design issues and support construction, commissioning, and energization activities.

  • Collaborate across development, procurement, project management, and execution teams.

What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years of experience in high-voltage substation and/or transmission line engineering.

  • Strong background in utility-scale power delivery, engineering consulting, or EPC environments.

  • Deep understanding of interconnection, substation design, T-line design, and grid reliability.

  • Proven ability to lead consultants, drive technical decisions, and deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

  • PE license preferred (not required).

Why This Opportunity?
  • Influence interconnection infrastructure across a national, multi-gigawatt portfolio.

  • Work across renewables, data centers, and thermal hybrid assets, shaping a diversified power platform.

  • Join a business undergoing significant growth with strong backing and long-term visibility.

  • Operate in a hybrid model with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.

  • Enjoy competitive compensation, bonus eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits offering.
