The Green Recruitment Company is proud to be partnered with a leading U.S. developer–owner–operator in the renewable energy sector. With a multi-GW pipeline of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, and active expansion into data center infrastructure and gas generation to diversify their portfolio, our client is seeking a Senior Manager, High Voltage Engineering to join their fast-growing Engineering & EPC organization.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role, supporting both early-stage development and late-stage execution across large-scale interconnection, substation, and transmission scopes.
As the Senior Manager, High Voltage Engineering, you will:
Lead technical strategy and execution for HV substations and interconnection facilities (138kV–500kV).
Support a large renewables pipeline (solar PV, BESS, hybrid) while contributing to new verticals including data center power delivery and thermal hybrid projects.
Manage and direct engineering consultants and EPC partners in developing design packages, technical drawings, and specifications.
Provide Owner’s Engineering oversight across design reviews, due diligence, and QA/QC.
Develop conceptual HV designs, guide equipment procurement strategy, and influence project development decisions.
Resolve field-level design issues and support construction, commissioning, and energization activities.
Collaborate across development, procurement, project management, and execution teams.
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of experience in high-voltage substation and/or transmission line engineering.
Strong background in utility-scale power delivery, engineering consulting, or EPC environments.
Deep understanding of interconnection, substation design, T-line design, and grid reliability.
Proven ability to lead consultants, drive technical decisions, and deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
PE license preferred (not required).
