Summary: 

An international renewable energy development company are seeking a Project Development Manager to join their growing Central Sydney based team. As Project Developer, your overarching responsibility will be to support the different stages of the business’ development of Solar PV, onshore wind and battery storage projects across Australia. This role is open to international candidates who fit the criteria.

 

 

Your Responsibilities:

You will have the following responsibilities:

·         Assist in site identification by screening and shortlisting potential sites

·         Initiate contact with landholders and conduct subsequent negotiations to secure project sites suitable for development

·         Perform due diligence including conducting research and analysis on the technical specifications of projects to establish feasibility

·         Perform resource and site assessment, form the preliminary design concept, and identify connection options and other aspects to determine feasibility of projects

·         Oversee external advisors

·         Establish and participate in community consultation programs

·         Interact with landowners, councils, and other relevant stakeholders

·         Interact and oversee grid connection consultants

·         Progress grid studies and prepare grid connection applications

·         Assist during financial close

·         Support the preparation of project schedules, project progress reports, proposals, and presentations

 

Requirements from you:

·         3+ years’ experience working in renewable energy sector project development

·         Experience with large scale Solar PV or wind energy systems required

·         Experience in Australia preferred, but candidates with strong overseas experience will also be considered.

·         Experience dealing with landholders

·         Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, Science)

·         Strong background in power systems will be highly valued
