Position Overview
Job Title: Investment Associate
Location: Sausalito, CA
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to support all functions of our investment team. This position is for someone inspired by the opportunity to gain experience in renewable energy transactions, financial modeling, investor management, and new investment origination, while working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The Associate will assist the team in all aspects of working with our key partners, including capital providers (equity, tax equity, and debt), project development partners, and external asset management contractors.

Responsibilities:
Build, refine, and stress-test sophisticated project finance models for various transaction structures, including tax equity and debt
Organize and present project data to financial partners serving as a primary point of contact during the due diligence process
Develop high-impact marketing materials to assist in capital raising
Support broader business objectives and ad-hoc strategic projects as 38 Degrees North continues to scale
Collaborate closely with Development, EPC and Asset Management team members
Qualifications:
3-6 years of renewable energy and/or finance experience (investment banking, project finance, or private equity is a plus)
Strong passion for and experience in renewable energy
Expert financial modeling and valuation capabilities
Demonstrated ability to manage deal processes
Experience with tax equity and project finance debt modeling and transactions
Working understanding of renewable energy project development and construction
Familiarity with due diligence management and counterparty coordination
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability
Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis
Commercial awareness and transaction composure
Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, and seek out additional responsibility
Excellent verbal, written, power point, and interpersonal communication skills
Team player, sense of humor, and mission-driven mindset
MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not a requirement
