Our client is a prominent investor with a robust focus on renewable energy projects across the globe. In alignment with their strategic expansion plans in South America, they are seeking a visionary Head of Business Development to spearhead their initiatives from Beijing. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of transforming the energy landscape in emerging markets.
Position Overview
As the Head of Business Development for South America, you will lead the expansion and strategic partnerships in the region. You will identify and capitalize on investment opportunities in renewable energy, ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives and sustainability commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute business strategies to enter new markets and enhance presence in existing markets in South America.
Lead negotiations and establish partnerships with local entities, government bodies, and other stakeholders.
Manage the full business development lifecycle from opportunity identification through to deal closure and post-deal integration.
Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and technical, to assess project viability and risk management.
Provide insightful market intelligence reports and updates on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field, with a strong preference for additional qualifications in Renewable Energy.
Proven experience in business development, particularly in renewable energy sectors within South American markets.
Strong network and established relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy landscape in South America.
Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
Willingness to travel extensively across South America.
