Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Sustainability Manager to join a fast-growing and innovative professional services business putting ESG at the centre of its growth ambitions.
Job Purpose:
To lead and coordinate all aspects of the Firm’s internal Sustainability ESG activities ensuring they are directly linked to its sustainability strategies and goals.
Key responsibilities:
Working with the Head of ESG and the broader Sustainability ESG team supporting the management and execution of the firm’s National Sustainability ESG internal framework
Creating guidelines, checklists, policies and procedures and other related content to align with best practices for internal use.
Take responsibility for the intranet ESG content, working with the ESG team (business development) on ensuring an effective presence on the network and spotlighting internal ESG initiatives/activities within the firm, linking in with the employer brand and marketing teams as appropriate.
Managing the relationship with social and charitable foundations.
·Lead the national network of Net Zero ambassadors – for targeted action-driven task-based reporting
Lead on the Net Zero Now internal initiative, maintaining the data to map our route to decarbonisation including compilation of regular internal updates to report on progress. Ensure effective reporting and control within the firm on metrics and KPIs.
Lead the firm’s SBTi journey and relationships with Eco Vadis.
Own the firm’s annual sustainability report from cradle to grave, including TCFD-aligned disclosures.
Attend team briefings on new ESG policy, keeping up to date with the latest guidance, regulation and trends, protecting the firm from the risk of non-compliance
To innovate with ideas and content (Such as new technology, new policy, new ways of working) within the Sustainability ESG space.
Being a service for the ESG team to deliver its annual strategy.
Essential Skills:
Previous experience in a similar role is critical
Experience in leading and delivering change implementing improvements to services and reporting
Strong working knowledge of all areas of the firm and an understanding of how an agile professional services firm operates
Strong administration, organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
Strong influencing and communication skills with a proven ability to listen to the needs of the business while advocating for sustainable ways of working
