​Solar PV Designer

Location: London, United Kingdom

Salary: £35000 - 50000 per annum depending on experience

Bonus: £100 per MW sold on all projects

TGRC is working is working with an international leading Utility Scale PV Developer with an established track record of more than 1GW pipeline of capacity developed.

Purpose

Solar PV Designer and Yield Assessment role is in the London office for all its developments. This person will be working and reporting to the exciting in-house team to support the development and design Utility Scale PV Plants in UK, Spain, Italy, Australia and New Zealand.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Engineering/technical degree or Bachelor.

·         Minimum of 2+ years of experience working with AutoCAD.

·         Minimum 2+ years engineering experience in renewable energy technologies.

·         Preliminary PV site plan drawings under the supervision of the senior design staff;

·         Review and amend the final site plans with the senior design staff to ensure compliance with other design considerations such as planning and Structural Engineering.

·         Excellent ability to communicate among construction, technical and non-technical personnel, both internally and outside the company

·         Knowledge of simulation software including Pvsyst;

·         Knowledge of GIS software QGIS – Global Mapper or similar

·         Knowledge of PV industry modelling and simulating assumptions. Including bifacial panels and single axis trackers;

·         Ability to setup and manage drawings, X-reference, blocks, etc;

·         Experience in Solar PV Design.

·         Fluent English spoken and written.
