Senior Project Manager, Execution

Reports to: Sr. Director of Construction and Engineering

Location: Hybrid with up to 50% travel primarily to projects across the state of New York

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Green Recruitment Company have been retained by a growing renewable power producer as they expand their power origination team. The business has an experienced leadership team and are backed by top tier institutional capital. Since kicking off a growth effort in the United States in late 2019, the team has generated an extensive development pipeline of wind, solar, and energy storage projects, and is looking to continue to build upon its recent successes. The Sr. Project Manager, Execution will be responsible to manage the execution of the design and construction of new build utility-scale renewable energy power generation plants. Through 2025 at least, this will focus on a portfolio of solar projects in the state of New York, with subsequent projects as per the company focus. This includes execution, management, design, and construction of the entire project from handover from pre-construction activities through to testing, commissioning, and commercial operation and handover of a complete project to operations while providing construction expertise.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct and oversee construction projects of our NY state portfolio from EPC contractor selection to commissioning and commercial operation while monitoring compliance with safety, environmental, and building regulations.
  • Coordinate the prime contractors and the construction team to meet design, financial, and contractual conditions of performance.
  • Prepare external and internal reports relating to job status, budget status, weekly progress, estimates, and deliverables.
  • Negotiate agreement terms, manage construction contract drafts, and obtain permits to analyze and mitigate risks.
  • Manage and responsible for the entire project budget from construction financial closing through to term conversion financial closing.
  • Communicate with the responsible parties to ensure quality construction exceeds company standards and proper industry techniques and processes are utilized, while ensuring the company’s needs and wants are efficiently met.
  • Review projects on a daily basis to ensure quality construction standards exist and estimates remain within budget.
  • Supervise construction projects to ensure they are completed on time and exceed the company’s requirements.
  • Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the building process from hiring contractors to working with engineers, vendors, landowners, and AHJs.
