Job description

​TGRC is proud to partner with an international Renewable Energy Developer who is one of the largest owners of utility scale renewable energy assets including Solar, Wind, BESS, and Hydrogen. Our client is looking for a Senior Investment Associate to join their Melbourne team to and help lead M&A and transactions across all renewable technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and adapt complex financial models to assess risks and ROI of both operating and development assets.

  • Support M&A activity and investment strategy to develop pipeline growth within the Australian Renewable Market.

  • Maintaining strong relationships and trust with investors.

  • Preparing client proposals, investment pitchbooks, responses to bids and tenders, and draft client, board investment reports.

  • Identify opportunities for portfolio growth within the Australian energy market and identifying key market trends and challenges.

  • Create board reporting packs and investment committee papers and present to investors and senior management.

Your Profile:

  • Circa 3-5 years experience in M&A/Transactions at an advisory, Investment Bank, or Developer.

  • Degree or equivalent in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.

  • Ability to build and adapt complex financial models.

  • Project finance experience is well regarded.

  • Exposure to transaction execution in an renewable energy transaction is required from either a debt or equity side on either operating or development assets.

  • Strong understanding of deal processes, demonstrating ability to manage across multiple work streams with internal and external stakeholders or advisors.

  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to effectively present ideas and write investment committee papers to senior management.

  • A self-starter with initiative who can work as a team.
