Job description

The Green Recruitment Company have partnered with a well-established Distributed Generation specialist, seeking a new Sales Director to take a lead on targeting Commercial & Industrial customers across the UK.

If you’re a well versed, self-motivated Sales professional, with demonstrable experience in ESCos & distributed generation solutions – primarily & most relevantly CHP, this could be a highly rewarding opportunity to take ownership on a fairly untouched sales channel for the business – bolstered out by the business’ great reputation, business model and products

The Role:

Leading the Sales function including:

  • Developing sales budgets for approval
  • Lead origination
  • Maintain Salesforce database
  • Client engagement
  • Co-ordination with Applications engineering & Finance
  • Developing financial models
  • Developing and presenting customer proposals
  • Negotiating capital sales and ESCo contracts
  • Closing sales to financial close
  • Customer Relationship Management throughout the process
  • Assisting in shaping the Sales & Marketing strategy
  • Manage sales personnel

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop suitably qualified leads
  • Document and maintain the Salesforce database with all relevant details
  • Liaise with Engineering team and facilitate information exchange between client and Engineering
  • Co-ordinate meetings and schedule reviews
  • Prepare and present detailed financial proposals together with Engineering Applications team for internal review
  • Prepare and present professional customer proposals 
  • Develop relevant sales and or ESCo contract documentation
  • Negotiate contracts to financial close
  • Maintain database and sales related data on company systems
  • Represent the company at industry association, tradeshows and other relevant events
  • Drive the organic development of marketing tools and collateral to support sales function

KPI’s

  • Closed Sales in value and Capacity against annual target with quarterly milestones
  • Accuracy and efficiency of sales database and information
  • Communication and Co-ordination with Engineering, Finance & Marketing
  • Quality of proposals
  • Client feedback
  • Senior Management feedback

Sales Targets

  • 5 MW of closed sales – either Capital or ESCo
    • Projects from 200 kW to 5 MW
  • 20 MW Pipeline developed for future close
