Job description
A Pan-European Solar PV IPP that finances develops, builds and maintains projects is looking for a Renewable Energy M&A Specialist for their solar portfolio with a primary focus on Sweden and potential for wider European coverage.
The Role:
The core responsibility will revolve around developing, optimising, and streamlining financial models to ensure the competitiveness of our large-scale solar and battery projects, as well as M&A activity (origination, evaluation and negotiation/closing of deals).
Develop and continuously improve detailed financial models to accommodate new investment prospects in solar parks and battery projects, including scenarios and sensitivity analyses.
Structure comprehensive business cases and provide essential materials for presentations to potential investors.
Develop operational models for specific assets, keeping them up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle, and update the financial model for the overall portfolio once projects are operational.
Monthly and quarterly performance to investors based on key business metrics such as asset performance and portfolio evaluation.
Perform regular and ad-hoc project financial analyses to help assess project performance, check against assess bank covenants, etc.
Support in originating, evaluating, and negotiating potential project acquisition opportunities and partnerships to ensure alignment with our strategic objectives.
Play a pivotal role in liaising with lenders throughout all project stages, providing critical financial insights and support during negotiations.
The Individual:
Have solid experience in developing detailed calculation models, project valuation and financial analysis. Preferably within the energy sector.
Excellent analytical and communication skills with a keen business sense.
Experience in connecting and managing relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a prerequisite for this role.
