Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company is in the search of a Project Manager to join a leading IPP in Portugal to work in utility scale PV Projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full EPC of the Solar PV Plant, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and external vendors, to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to meet deadlines and financial goals.

  • Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.

  • Communicate project progress, issues, and changes to clients and senior management regularly.

  • Supervise the preparation and submission of project proposals, permits, and documentation.

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers and project specialists, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards throughout the project’s duration.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations to enhance project efficiency and profitability.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field is required for the role.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in the renewable energy sector (preferably Photovoltaic projects).

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale PV projects from start to finish.

  • Strong knowledge of PV technology, electrical systems, and grid connection processes.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timelines are met.

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of local regulations and industry standards in Portugal is highly desirable.

  • PMP or similar Project Management certification is a plus.
