Job description
The Green Recruitment Company is in the search of a Project Manager to join a leading IPP in Portugal to work in utility scale PV Projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the full EPC of the Solar PV Plant, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and external vendors, to ensure smooth project execution.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to meet deadlines and financial goals.
Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
Communicate project progress, issues, and changes to clients and senior management regularly.
Supervise the preparation and submission of project proposals, permits, and documentation.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers and project specialists, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards throughout the project’s duration.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field is required for the role.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in the renewable energy sector (preferably Photovoltaic projects).
Proven experience in managing large-scale PV projects from start to finish.
Strong knowledge of PV technology, electrical systems, and grid connection processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timelines are met.
Fluency in Portuguese and English.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of local regulations and industry standards in Portugal is highly desirable.
PMP or similar Project Management certification is a plus.
