Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be partnered with a distributed energy business that focus on Net Zero solutions. Our client are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the construction phase their battery energy storage projects.

This role will oversee the delivery of the projects from financial close through to the handover to the asset management team.

Responsibilities

  • Taking charge of the delivery of multiple projects ensuring delivery to programme and budget.

  • Undertaking financial and technical assessment of contractors proposals

  • Preparing EPC contracts ensuring all aspects of the works to be delivered are properly documented and AMPs interests are adequately protected

  • Collating project information and providing this to EPC contractors to enable them to accurately price/design/execute works

  • Assessing progress of works against programme and managing contractor and contract accordingly

  • Managing nominated product suppliers to ensure equipment procured directly by AMP is delivered in accordance with specification and project timetables

  • Liaising with landlords, neighbours and other stakeholders to ensure all parties are fully aware of requirements and timetables of the projects

  • Managing and coordinating Distribution Network Operators (DNO) and their interface with EPC and/or Independent Connections Providers (ICP)

Requirements

  • Familiarity with construction industry contracts with particular emphasis on design & build of electrical generation installations

  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple construction projects on behalf of the client/purchaser and ensuring delivery to programme and budget

  • Understanding projects that involve free issue equipment and the resultant supplier/contractor interface

  • Experience of liaising with and managing DNO’s and ICP ‘s
