Project Development Team Leader - Solar PV

Location: Helsinki, Finland

Our client is a leading Renewable Energy Developer committed to driving the transition to sustainable energy. Headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, they specialise in the development, construction, and operation of solar photovoltaic and onshore wind projects, contributing to the global shift towards clean and renewable energy sources.

As the Project Development Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our solar photovoltaic development projects, reporting to the Head of Development. Working from our Helsinki office, you will lead a dynamic team focused on project development, ensuring the efficient and timely execution of renewable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of project developers, engineers, and analysts.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Oversee the end-to-end development process of solar photovoltaic projects, from site identification to commercial operation.

  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless project execution.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, landowners, and local communities.

  • Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with external partners and regulatory bodies.

Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities for solar photovoltaic project development.

  • Evaluate potential project sites, considering technical, financial, and regulatory aspects.

Risk Management:

  • Assess and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to proactively address potential challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in solar project development or a related field.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent understanding of solar photovoltaic technologies, project economics, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
