This 12-month contract role is perfectly suited for someone with a robust technical background in renewable energy, offering an hourly rate between $35 and $45 based on experience.

About the Role:

In this critical role, you will ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of large-scale solar PV installations. Your technical expertise will be vital in troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing system performance. This position offers a great blend of fieldwork and customer interaction, ideal for someone who excels in a hands-on environment and enjoys solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

• Diagnose system malfunctions and operational issues, providing swift and effective resolutions.

• Monitor and analyze system performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Collaborate closely with project management and technical teams to share insights and improve operational procedures.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all service activities, including detailed reports on maintenance performed and system status.

• Engage with clients to provide technical support and ensure their satisfaction with our services.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally within the solar energy sector, demonstrating a track record of managing and improving complex systems.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly and effectively to both clients and colleagues.

• Flexibility to handle field assignments across the Albany area, with adaptability to various environmental conditions.

• A technical degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a relevant technical discipline.
