​The Green Recruitment Company is proud to partner with one of our key clients, a leading energy transition firm delivering exceptional service spanning diligence, development, construction, and operational assistance to select funds and their portfolio of renewable energy projects.

The team is looking to add an accounting professional as an Associate/Sr. Associate to their Project Controls team who will be responsible for overseeing financials of their development and construction portfolio. This is a hybrid role located in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and design of budgets, forecasts, and actuals reporting.

• Maintain up-to-date project forecasts - onshore/offshore wind, solar, battery storage

• Manage monthly project reporting cycle

• Support origination and asset management teams during the development and construction stages

• Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with internal and project-level governance and contracts

• Contribute to ongoing process improvement workstreams in coordination with PMO office and other regional finance and controls teams

Desired Background & Experience:

• 3-7 years of relevant experience for renewable energy/infrastructure projects (title dependent upon experience level)

• Experience in Renewable Energy industry preferred

• Working knowledge of accounting and financial concepts

• Project management certifications a plus (e.g., PMI)
