Job description
Are you a Design/PV Engineer with at least 3 - 5 years of experience in the solar PV and BESS commercial and industrial market? By joining a leading company in the C&I market, this position will afford you the opportunity to engage with a large asset portfolio to provide and implement clean energy solutions. This role entails a mixture of production modelling and design review to ensure the improvement of production quality and efficiency of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze production data to detect trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement. Compile reports and share insights with senior engineers and management
Collaborate with engineering teams, production staff, and suppliers to address technical challenges and promote best practices
Contribute to quality control efforts by performing inspections, reviewing data, and ensuring that all materials and equipment adhere to established standards
Support production operations by helping to manage daily tasks, troubleshoot issues, and verify adherence to safety and authority standards
Aid in the development and upkeep of technical documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), process guidelines, and equipment manuals
Assist with the training of production personnel on new procedures, equipment usage, and safety regulations
Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the implementation and evaluation of changes to enhance production efficiency
Qualifications & Skills:
3 - 5 years of experience in energy production modeling, using tools such as PVSyst, Helioscope, or similar software. Experience with AutoCAD or Sketchup is an advantage
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Ability to analyze shading and optimize solar designs based on site assessment reports
Technical proficiency in PV production modeling, production systems, and engineering fundamentals. Familiarity with CAD software and data analysis tools
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with excellent attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working in a team environment
Knowledge of NEC codes and other industry standards is beneficial
Ability to adapt quickly to new concepts and shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment
Self-driven and proactive, with a strong desire to contribute and grow professionally
