​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to have exclusively partnered with a leading Investment Advisory & Manager, with over £1.5 Billion assets under management.

As their renewable energy & cleantech portfolio greatens in scale, this business seeks a new, Portfolio Director to oversee the operational & financial performance of their Energy Storage & Reserve Power portfolio – plus, leading strategy behind route-to-market & trading performance.

Responsibilities;

• Energy Storage & Reserve power, asset output optimisation.

• Oversee and support of health & safety management process

• Oversight of Technical Asset Manager, including regular meetings and ensuring compliance with contract.

• Reporting & presenting on operational performance to key stakeholders – from both technical & financial viewpoints.

• A clear understanding of the key performance drivers linked to the energy storage & reserve power portfolio.

• Ensuring both asset classes are operating within their permits and are adhering to all legislative requirements i.e. environmental permits, gas allowances, planning requirements etc.

• Working with offtakers and specialists to maximise revenue streams, including investigation into new revenue opportunities offered by National Grid or local DNO’s.

• Regular site visits, delivering an inspection report and feeding back required actions to the wider team.

• Identify potential process improvements with a focus on efficiencies.

• Oversight of reinvestment and capital expenditure plans relating to operational peaker and storage assets

• Providing support and advice to the wider team and supporting team objectives.

Requirements;

• Operating experience of energy storage / reserve power assets.

• A clear, demonstrable understanding of energy markets & trading.

• University Education within a related field.

• Strong attention to detail & goal orientation, with great negotiation skills.

• Excellent English language skills.
