Role Overview:

As a BESS Field Service Engineer/O&M Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring energy storage systems operate safely and efficiently. You will perform regular inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades while supporting customers both on-site and remotely. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with advanced technology in real-world applications, providing critical insights to improve product performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and service Energy Storage Systems, including routine inspections, annual capacity tests, reactive maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Perform system software and firmware upgrades to ensure optimal performance.

  • Monitor operational performance and analyze data to identify potential issues.

  • Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers.

  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely replacement.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures in compliance with local regulations and safety standards.

  • Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, vehicle checks, and detailed daily job logs.

  • Assist in-house engineering teams with product development and project work.

  • Provide field-based insights and recommendations to enhance product performance.

Essential Requirements:
  • Qualification in electrical or electro-mechanical discipline.

  • Previous experience in electrical or multi-skilled maintenance, ideally in Solar, Wind, or renewable energy projects; BESS experience is a plus.

  • Relocation support available for eligible candidates.

Preferred but Not Essential:
  • Experience working with BESS technology.

  • Knowledge of HV/LV power electronics, including inverters, converters, and transformers.

  • Strong IT and networking knowledge (CMD, remote desktop, subnetting, VLANs, static IP/DHCP, MODBUS/TCP protocols).

  • HV authorized personnel certification.
