​Job Title: Low Carbon Economic Growth Officer

Location: Beijing, China

Salary: CNY 500,000 per annum

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client, an international climate change NGO, is seeking a Low Carbon Economic Growth Officer to join their team in Beijing. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies that promote low-carbon economic growth in China, with the aim of mitigating the effects of climate change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on low-carbon economic growth strategies and identify opportunities for implementation in China.

  • Design and implement projects that promote low-carbon economic growth, including the development of sustainable energy solutions, the promotion of green technology, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the public and private sector, including government agencies, NGOs, and businesses, to build partnerships and promote sustainable economic development.

  • Develop and manage budgets for low-carbon economic growth projects, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.

  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of projects on low-carbon economic growth, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as environmental science, economics, or sustainable development.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of low-carbon economic growth, including project design and implementation.

  • Knowledge of the Chinese economic landscape and experience working in China.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
