Chief Financial Officer
Job description
Location: Washington DC-Baltimore Area (On-site)
The company is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function and act as a strategic partner to the executive team as the platform scales through organic growth and acquisitions.
Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on financial planning, capital allocation, and corporate strategy
Lead all accounting, controllership, FP&A, treasury, tax, and financial reporting activities
Oversee financial management of a diversified clean energy asset portfolio, including operating and development-stage projects
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the organization
Lead ERP selection and implementation and enhance financial systems, controls, and reporting capabilities
Support project finance, corporate finance, and M&A activities including diligence, valuation, structuring, and integration
Manage relationships with lenders, investors, auditors, and other external stakeholders
Establish and scale a high-performing finance and accounting team aligned with growth objectives
Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
Required Skills
Proven CFO experience within a clean energy developer, IPP, or adjacent power/infrastructure platform
Deep technical background in accounting and FP&A, with strong operational finance leadership
Demonstrated experience managing project finance structures and asset-level financial performance
Track record of building and scaling finance functions in high-growth environments
Experience leading ERP implementations and process transformation initiatives
Strong leadership presence with the ability to operate strategically and hands-on
