Job description
The Logistics Specialist will oversee the logistics operations related to solar cell production, ensuring efficient transportation, inventory management, and customs clearance. This role involves coordinating with third-party providers for customs clearance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and optimizing logistics processes to support production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including scheduling, tracking shipments, and coordinating with transportation companies.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials for production, while minimizing costs.
Work closely with third-party customs brokers to ensure timely and compliant customs clearance for all import/export shipments.
Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support production targets.
Ensure all logistics activities adhere to local, national, and international regulations, particularly concerning customs and safety standards.
Maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers, negotiate rates, and resolve any logistical issues that arise.
Prepare and analyze reports on logistics performance, including KPIs related to cost, delivery times, and inventory turnover.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in logistics, preferably within the manufacturing or solar energy sector.
Familiarity with customs regulations and experience in managing customs clearance processes.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office Suite.
