Job Title: Grid Connection Specialist

Location: Kent

Contract Type: 6-month contract

Day Rate: £450

The Green Recruitment Company is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Grid Connection Specialist to participate in a pioneering Utility Scale Solar PV & Energy Storage Project. Situated in the dynamic county of Kent, this role offers a six-month contract aimed at professionals who are passionate about advancing the renewable energy sector.

About the Role:

In this crucial position, you will take charge of managing and facilitating the grid connection operations essential to our ambitious solar and energy storage project. Your role will be central to ensuring that all technical and regulatory aspects of the grid connection are seamlessly integrated and compliant with UK standards. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual who can efficiently liaise between project teams and external stakeholders, ensuring the successful grid integration of our renewable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement grid connection strategies that adhere to both technical requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Negotiate and secure grid connection agreements with utility companies and regulatory bodies.

  • Identify and resolve any issues that may arise in the grid connection process, minimizing impact on project timelines.

  • Work closely with project engineers to ensure that grid connection plans are integrated into the overall project design effectively.

  • Produce detailed reports on grid connection activities, progress, and challenges, ensuring transparency and timely communication with project stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Grid Connection Specialist or in a similar role within the renewable energy industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering related to solar energy systems and energy storage solutions.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.

  • A relevant engineering degree or professional qualifications in a related field.
