Permitting Specialist
Job description
I am recruiting on behalf of a leading independent power producer operating across the full renewable-energy value chain, including generation, storage, and development. The company is focused on delivering sustainable solutions and accelerating the clean-energy transition through impactful projects.
They are seeking a Permitting Specialist to join their Development Function team, reporting to the Senior Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and analyze technical and administrative authorization documentation for renewable energy projects.
Prepare and execute activity plans for secondary permitting, ensuring compliance with environmental conditions.
Draft reports and documentation required for approvals, concessions, and definitive authorizations.
Review and verify documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with relevant authorities.
Monitor permits, track documentation for grid operator submissions, and manage infrastructure interferences.
Collaborate with project stakeholders and prepare reports for external parties.
Support the preparation of Compliance Reports with Project Managers and Designers (excluding technical design).
Maintain communication with authorities to ensure timely submission of required documentation.
Uphold the highest ethical standards in all activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience (even minimal) in renewable energy project development and related permitting activities.
Familiarity with design standards, safety regulations, and renewable energy project requirements.
Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical preferred but not mandatory).
Excellent English communication skills.
Proficiency with design/drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) and basic office tools.
Proactive, resourceful, and problem-solving mindset.
