With grid balancing - a crucial element to the decarbonization strategy of Energy Businesses, Utilities, TSO’s, & DSO’s - this business is in a fantastic position, offering a product suite of solutions to some already fantastic, global partners.

As the business ramps up its expansion, they are searching for a Lead Full Stack Engineer who is passionate about mentoring engineers, while still getting involved with full stack coding.

The Role

•         You will be working alongside the existing team of software engineers, product managers, & designers on their primary product – a grid flexibility marketplace, allowing the better and more effective integration of renewable assets (Battery Storage, Wind, Solar etc.) onto the grid.

•         You’ll be responsible for writing and reviewing code, as well as making improvements and developing new features in a cross-functional team environment.

•         This role involves both leading a team of engineers, as well as getting stuck in with coding and engineering tasks too.

Job Requirements:

•         Over 5 years working experience across the some of the following tech stack:

-          Python, Django, JavaScript, & VueJS

•         Over 4 years developing modern user-focused web applications

•         Experience across the entire product life-cycle – from concept to launch and maintenance

•         Interest in both front and backend architecture and desire to make architectural decisions

•         Experience and interest in mentoring and leading other engineers

Desirables:

•         Experience with cloud-based platforms, ideally AWS

•         Committed to good coding practices and continuous improvement

•         Passionate about cleantech and sustainable solutions
