​​GIS Engineer

Location: Sydney or Melbourne

TGRC is working with a global leader in the development, construction, and operation of utility scale renewables plants. The company is growing rapidly and supported by some of the world’s largest infrastructure funds which will help them expand in all areas of clean generation projects. This role is a great opportunity for someone with transferable GIS skills who wants to work within the renewables sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain GIS databases related to renewable energy projects.

• Create maps and visualizations that show the locations of renewable energy projects and other relevant information.

• Analyze data using GIS tools and techniques to identify patterns and trends related to renewable energy projects.

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure that GIS data and maps are accurate and up to date.

• Maintain GIS software and systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and update software as needed.

• Stay up to date with industry trends related to GIS and renewable energy systems.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.

• Strong proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo.

• Experience in data analysis and database management.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
