​Geotechnical Engineer - Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Projects

Position Overview

Duration: 12-month fixed-term contract
Location: London
Experience: 1-2 years (preferably in energy projects)
Salary: £40,000 per annum

Job Description

As a Geotechnical Engineer at our firm, you will be integral in supporting a variety of ambitious renewable energy and infrastructure initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Site Investigation: Planning and supervising ground investigations, including sample collection and in-situ testing.

• Data Analysis: Interpreting geotechnical data and contributing to the development of ground models.

• Design Support: Assisting with the design of earthworks, foundations, and other structural elements, ensuring that designs comply with relevant standards and geotechnical requirements.

• Project Collaboration: Working closely with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and sustainable solutions.

• Risk Management: Identifying geotechnical risks and proposing mitigation strategies.

• Reporting: Preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably related to energy projects.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in geotechnical software and familiar with industry standards.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
