Job description

The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be supporting our Client, an award-winning clean technology company, who are accelerating the global green energy transition through their accessible & innovative battery storage solutions.

 

They seek a new Field Applications Engineer to join their dynamic team & strengthen their Pre and Post Sales technical capability. The role will be both technical & customer facing, offering support to the internal commercial & engineering teams, as well as their growing number of external partners and re-sellers. The role will span across a range of disciplines including: pre-sales system specification, project design and post-sales support with the ability to assist in field commissioning activities.

 

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and organised, with excellent communication skills. They will be a proactive problem-solver and will be comfortable working cross-functionally with product management & engineering teams, whilst communicating the voice of the customer.

 

Responsibilities include:

Pre-Sales

  • First point of contact (supported by the technical team) for pre-sale technical enquires.

    • Support Commercial Team by leading on scoping of technical solutions required to address customer requirements and project design for new commercial opportunities

    • Specify Battery system requirements across their battery portfolio (with or without PV)

    • Specify with DNO and other regulatory requirements for installation

    • Conduct site visits at commercial and residential sites as required 

Post-Sales

  • 1st responder post-sale technical support enquiries.

  • Lead field installation and investigations of battery system and IoT hardware.

    • Support system integrators with any site installation issues associated with the battery system.

    • Ability to commission their battery system & CDI installations in the field

 

Required skills:

  • Certified Electrician qualification / Electrical Engineering background

  • 2+ years’ experience with hybrid system design (PV, backup/on-grid system design)

  • 3+ years’ experience with case support tools (Hubspot/Zendesk)

  • UK Driving license with some experience driving a commercial vehicle

  • Ability and willingness to become ADR qualified (if not already attained).

  • Working knowledge of relevant software packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Light commercial and residential Li-ion battery system integration experience (more than 5kWh less than 250kWh) – not essential but desirable.
