Job description

​A dynamic and well-funded renewable energy company based in Milan is seeking an experienced Environmental & Permitting Specialist to join its growing team. With a strong commitment to the Italian market and a pipeline of large-scale projects, the company is delivering innovative solutions across Solar PV,Agri-PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and is preparing to expand into wind energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive permitting and environmental approval processes for large-scale renewable energy projects

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, consultants, and other key stakeholders

  • Oversee the preparation of environmental impact assessments and permitting documentation

  • Perform GIS-based site analysis and support spatial planning for new project development

  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure project compliance with current legislation

  • Collaborate closely with internal development, engineering, and legal teams to support project delivery

  • Contribute to the development of emerging opportunities, including wind projects

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in environmental permitting within the renewable energy sector

  • Solid knowledge of Italian permitting regulations and procedures for energy infrastructure

  • Proficient in GIS tools and spatial analysis (essential)

  • Proven track record working on utility-scale PV and/or BESS projects; Agri-PV experience is advantageous

  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment

  • Fluent Italian and professional-level English
