Job description

​The client is world leading renewable power analytics provider is looking for someone to join their team as Energy Modelling Analysts in the Asia-Pacific region.

In this role, you will primarily focus on modelling energy commodities, particularly electricity markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a suite of energy market models.

  • Collaborate closely with their research and consulting teams to extract valuable insights from model results.

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the modelling team's operations.

Required Attributes:

  • Hold relevant degrees in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields from reputable universities.

  • Possess the right to work in Singapore

  • Exhibit exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex quantitative data and information.

  • Have knowledge of at least one programming language, such as C++, Matlab, Python, R, or Java.

  • Display strong interpersonal skills and thrive as a team player.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Hold relevant Master's degrees or PhDs.

  • Show an interest in and knowledge of energy markets, with a belief in the transformative potential of well-designed models for decision-making.

  • Possess knowledge of statistical and/or optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with an algebraic modelling language, such as GAMS (preferred) or AMPL.

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in quantitative and/or technical roles.
