We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our rapidly growing Sustainability Team as an Energy & Carbon Analyst & SECR Team Leader. This role will support our team of engineers and consultants in delivering a wide range of energy and carbon compliance programs. You will work with technical experts from a highly regarded consultancy, whilst developing skills and knowledge in a rapidly growing sector that offers great long-term security and career progression opportunities.
This role would ideally suit someone with strong numeric ability, excellent Excel skills and knowledge of utility invoicing and/or experience of SECR &Net Zero.
Key deliverables:
Main responsibilities
Support the team to deliver our SECR commitments for our Education and I&C customers
Attend client kick off meetings and take responsibility for identifying data requirements and managing these through to receipt and analysis.
Maintaining our SECR customer base, managing renewals and invoicing when required
Discussing opportunities for our clients to reduce emissions
Converting our SECR customers to Net Zero
Developing our clients’ needs to go beyond the minimum SECR requirement for an smooth pathway to Net Zero
Manage full programme data requirements and be able to report to stakeholders on progress and flag any gaps for decisions to be made.
Review and development of energy consumption data
Manage the development of our Graduate scheme within the Sustainability Team.
QA the SECR process
Support in resolving consumption queries.
Provide assistance and service cover in other energy related activities as required.
Requirements – experience:
Excellent understanding of SECR, process and reporting
Knowledge and keen interest in climate change, energy, and carbon reduction.
Understanding of Net Zero
Managing a small team
Experience of analysing energy billing and consumption data.
Highly numerate and in possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of Excel.
Excellent research and analytical skills.Client focused.

Job Type: Permanent Full time
Location: Brierley Hill, West Midlands
Working hours: 40 hours – 08:30-5pm Monday to Friday with half an hour lunch break.
Salary: £35K-£40K depending on experience. (KPI related bonus available after successful completion of probation)
