Electrical Supervisor

Job description

​This position is responsible for supervising industrial electrical installations across multiple project sites. The role includes oversight of construction management activities, contract execution, and ensuring timely, high-quality completion of electrical installation projects. The Electrical Construction Supervisor also supports project development activities such as bid preparation, cost analysis, design confirmation, and scheduling assistance for third-party contracts.

Essential Functions

  • Manage multiple complex electrical construction projects simultaneously.

  • Supervise electrical construction crews, including both company employees and subcontractors.

  • Oversee project planning, tracking, and reporting related to electrical engineering and interconnection work.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, including estimating requirements for internal and external engineering work.

  • Conduct and review electrical and structural feasibility studies, system analyses, calculations, and designs.

  • Respond promptly to operational and construction needs across various projects.

  • Support the planning and scoping of new facilities and system upgrades.

  • Assist with state, local, and corporate permitting activities related to project execution.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to define and execute work requirements for new developments and expansions of high-voltage interconnection and transmission facilities.

  • Safely operate vehicles, including entering and exiting vehicles unassisted, remaining alert for extended periods, and navigating using maps or GPS systems.

  • Be available to work weekends and/or holidays as needed.

  • Travel extensively to domestic and international project sites, including remote or rural areas.

Other Responsibilities
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required
  • Minimum of four (4) years of formal electrical education or equivalent experience.

  • Proven ability to take initiative and be accountable for both individual and team results.

  • Strong leadership and motivational skills with the ability to achieve high performance standards.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently to ensure safe and efficient job performance.

  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet research tools.

  • Experience with AutoCAD and PLS-CADD is highly preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable under company policy.
