Role Overview
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervising all on-site electrical construction activities, including installation, cabling, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment. This role ensures that work is executed safely, accurately, and in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, industry standards, and applicable regulations. The Electrical Supervisor will coordinate electrical teams and subcontractors, driving quality and schedule performance throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Supervision & Execution
Supervise and coordinate daily electrical construction activities on site, including installation of equipment, cable routing, terminations, and electrical assemblies.
Ensure work is performed in line with electrical drawings, designs, specifications, and construction methods.
Monitor progress and productivity of electrical teams and subcontractors to maintain schedule and quality targets.
Testing & Commissioning
Oversee electrical testing, inspection, and commissioning activities to verify system performance and compliance with technical requirements.
Coordinate commissioning schedules with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure timely project milestones.
Address technical issues identified during testing and support corrective actions.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and electrical safety regulations.
Conduct quality checks, inspections, and documentation of electrical installation work.
Identify non-conformances, report issues, and work with project teams to implement corrective actions.
Team Coordination & Communication
Coordinate electrical crews, subcontractors, and third-party specialists to optimise workflow and resource utilisation.
Communicate daily objectives, site priorities, and work sequences to teams.
Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, and provide clear reporting on electrical activities, risks, and constraints.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience
Proven experience supervising on-site electrical construction works, including cabling, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Exposure to EPC projects, industrial installations, or utility-scale infrastructure is a strong advantage.
Technical Competencies
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Knowledge of electrical codes, standards and regulatory requirements applicable to construction projects.
Proficiency in coordinating testing and commissioning activities.
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent organisational, communication, and team leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and dynamic project environment.
