Job Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer - EV - Hardware Specialist
Location: London (with Nationwide travel)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
We are partnered with one of the UK’s leading public rapid charging networks for electric vehicles! Our client is on a mission to create a greener future with convenient, high-power EV charging solutions across the UK.
About the Role:
As a Hardware Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients EV charging network. You’ll work across the entire ecosystem—from payment terminals to firmware—testing, improving, and integrating hardware for optimal performance. With your proactive approach, you’ll help drive innovation and improve customer experience while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Testing & Verification: Develop tools, perform on-site testing, and collaborate with OEMs to ensure top-quality hardware.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure successful project delivery and smooth operations.
Innovation & Improvement: Stay ahead of EV industry trends, integrating new technologies and optimizing processes.
Issue Resolution: Analyse data, solve problems, and generate reports to track performance and highlight improvements.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience in hardware testing, ideally in the EV charging sector.
Strong electrical background and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and project management abilities.
A passion for sustainable transport solutions.
