Job description
I'm seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-growing renewable energy team focused on sustainable hydropower operations across Sweden. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and impactful company with a strong focus on environmental performance, innovation, and operational excellence.
About the Role
Join a dedicated Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team managing a portfolio of 46 small-scale hydropower plants. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be involved in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of these assets. You'll play a hands-on role in optimisation projects, support compliance, and contribute to onboarding new assets into a growing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Lead small CAPEX and OPEX projects across the hydropower fleet
Manage and support O&M contractors on material events and optimisation work
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is completed in line with standards
Conduct site visits and inspections, delivering detailed punch lists and reports
Monitor regulatory, health & safety, and environmental compliance
Identify and resolve low-level technical incidents
Develop and implement optimisation strategies and efficiency improvements
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records
Support internal reporting and data management
Assist in onboarding new acquisitions into asset management systems
Provide general support to team operations and office administration
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–5 years' experience in hydropower, asset/project management, or O&M in renewables (preferred)
Strong understanding of technical asset management and renewable infrastructure (preferred)
Familiarity with compliance and safety best practices
Excellent MS Excel and IT skills
Strong communication and organisational skills
Fluent in both Swedish and English
