Join a global company that has taken strides in recent years as prominent innovators within the energy infrastructure and renewables industries. The contract manager’s responsibilities will be to provide contractual expertise across pre-contract and early project delivery stages across my client’s extensive infrastructure portfolio. This role will span from bid inception all the way through to contract award and operational handover, whilst providing governance to the systems and processes to ensure compliance and ensuring that projects are commercially viable.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure tenders, quotations and contracts include contract terms and conditions which suitably protect my client’s interests and are in accordance with their policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide regular, clear briefings, analysis and summaries of complex legal, technical, and commercial bid and contract issues for non-specialist audience and executives.
  • Be responsible for negotiation and finalisation of head contract terms and conditions and project risk parameters, consistent with bid risk profile, tender policy and risk appetite or prepare and present business cases and rationale for approval to accept risk to Senior Corporate Executives.
  • Provide lead guidance and coordination of the negotiation and finalisation of Contract terms and conditions, consistent with bid risk profile.
  • Work with Commercial, Procurement and Operational teams on the development and implementation of strategies for managing contractual issues associated with procurement.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years’ experience in reviewing, negotiating, drafting, tendering, and finalizing contracts and administration.
  • Possess strategic commercial experience in hard dollar / lump sum engineering and construction environment, preferably with large contractors.
  • Tertiary degree in Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • You have outstanding communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels with proven negotiation skills.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish.
