Job Title: Commissioning Supervisor (Onshore Wind Project)

Location: Wales

Contract Length: 9 months

Hourly Rate: £55 - £65 per hour

The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to represent a leading renewable energy developer in their search for an experienced Commissioning Supervisor to play a crucial role in an exciting Onshore Wind project based in Wales. This is a contract position offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute significantly to sustainable energy initiatives.

Role Overview: As a Commissioning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning phase of the wind energy project, ensuring all technical operations are executed flawlessly and in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Your expertise will guide the installation, testing, and operational handover of wind turbines and associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the commissioning process, including coordination with project managers, engineers, and construction teams.

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during the commissioning phase.

  • Manage schedules and documentation, ensuring all components are tested and validated according to industry standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the commissioning process, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.

  • Provide technical support and training to project team members.

  • Report progress and any critical issues to project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Commissioning Supervisor or similar role in the renewable energy sector, particularly in wind energy projects.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to wind turbines.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and make decisive, effective decisions.

  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Certification in health and safety training preferred.
