Job Responsibilities:

• Scout the renewable market to evaluate technologies, manufacturers, and products for suitability, reliability, and performance, leveraging location advantages.

• Support the development and maintenance of global roadmaps, technical specifications, standards, and certifications for PV modules, inverters, and BESS equipment.

• Troubleshoot and coordinate with manufacturers for operational project issues.

• Monitor market trends, contractor pools, and technology innovations to optimize total cost of ownership.

• Develop relationships with key manufacturers and support pilot/testing projects for innovative products.

• Collaborate with procurement to negotiate supply contracts and identify supplier improvement opportunities.

• Maintain and update Approved Product Lists (APLs) and ensure compliance with QA/QC, design, and H&S requirements.

Job Requirements:

• 6-8 years of experience in BESS OEM R&D or similar technical roles in PV, inverters, and BESS equipment.

• Expertise in electrical calculations, design, and product evaluation using specialized software.

• Familiarity with international electrical codes, QA tests (FAT, FMEA), and asset management requirements.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to resolve complex technical issues.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel VBA, and data analytics tools (Python, R, SQL) is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese; additional languages are an advantage.

• Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented, proactive, and team-player mindset.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
