Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be supporting our Client, a mission led, Green Hydrogen Energy Company, who support businesses on their journey to decarbonise and reach net zero.

As their dynamic team continues to grow, with over 1GW of Green Hydrogen production in development, they seek a new Assistant Project Manager to support the expansion of their clean energy infrastructure portfolio.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, with excellent communication and management skills. Located in either Edinburgh, Cardiff or London.

Responsibilities;

  • Managing information for projects and managing of third parties including planning consultants, environmental consultants, EPCs, OEMs, and others – reporting on performance and managing these contracts.

  • Providing support tracking the communication and follow-up of stakeholders, including off takers, community engagement (local and regional councils) and estate agents, landowners.

  • Assisting the PM in project reporting including budgets, Work Breakdown Structures, key project risks Project Plans, risks and project resourcing requirements.

  • Working closely with the project manager and contributing to the delivery of defined hydrogen integrated projects through all developmental stages from prefeasibility, through feasibility, financial close, EPC to operation.

  • Semi-Regular UK travel will be required.

  • Assisting the team and wider business with specific tasks on projects and issues as required, including tender submissions or business development.

  • Industry knowledge on relevant wider issues, such as industry representation and consultation responses as required.

  • Following-up and co-ordinating on work from project stakeholders such as financial leads, technical leads, planning leads, and associates.

Requirements;

  • Minimum of 2+ years in an assistant project management role, with a proven ability to support project managers to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Working towards or attained qualifications in project management methodology such as PRINCE 2, APM or PMP.

  • Experience in being part of a team delivering complex projects either in energy, construction industry or similar.

  • Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, primarily in wind and solar, hydrogen and/or fuel cell technologies is an advantage.

Qualifications;

  • A preference for candidates with a degree in fields such as Energy, Engineering, Sustainability, or any other relevant disciplines.
