Job description

The Opportunity 

A rare opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest independent managers of renewable energy with over £1bn committed to its funds. 

The Role

  • Assisting in the preparation, agreement, and control of solar site operational budgets
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management including operational performance and financial performance against budgets, cashflows and P&L
  • Managing the investigation, diagnosis and resolution of operational issues including liaising with external asset managers and deep dive analysis on performance data where required
  • Identifying operational risks to solar sites through robust operational analysis and agreeing and implementing solutions to resolve or mitigate such risks
  • Managing and reporting on compliance with Health and Safety Executive legislation and other corporate governance and policies in place
  • Contract management and administration e.g. external asset management contracts, operations & maintenance, power purchase agreement, insurance etc.
  • Engaging and maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders e.g., statutory authorities, landowners, grid networks etc.
  • Assisting the team to manage obligations following new acquisitions, including punch list items, repair processes or similar issues
  • Site visits and inspections where required

The Person 

  • 1-3 years’ experience in renewables or engineering would be advantageous, but is not a requirement
  • Empathetic and able to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Analytical thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Well organised and a good project manager
  • Collaborative, flexible, and supportive
  • Self-motivated, committed to performing well, and eager to develop
  • Experience of using Microsoft office suite
  • Right to work in the UK
